Rev. Dr. J. David Livingston, M.A., B. Ed., M. B. A., M. Div (USA) is the Joint Director of ICMC and theManaging Director of the Salem Christian College of Arts and Science. He is keen on enhancing the holistic development of the students. His analytical skills as an academician and administrator have benefitted the college to an immense extent. He is persistent on augmenting the eco-friendly campus and the infrastructure of the college. Central government certified Leather Skill Development programme, value added courses like Tally, CorelDraw, MS Office and Photoshop, TNPSC coaching, imparting Spoken English and Communication Skills for the students are a few of the effective and long-lasting projects launched by him for the development of the students. He also arranges for guest lecturers and resource persons from countries like the USA, the UK, Northern Ireland, the Netherlands, Australia, etc. to promote pedagogy and maximise learners’ competency.
These indispensable courses have greatly helped the students in expanding their horizons by helping them secure their future with luminous job prospects. Due to his efficient and untiring leadership, the college has been witnessing an outstandingenrichment in the academic, sporting, intra and inter-collegiate events, extra-curricular activities, job-fairs, campus interviews and state-of-the-art laboratories for subjects like Computer Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Physics, Nutrition and Dietetics, Mathematics and English.He makes sure that all the faculty members are updated with the latest teaching techniques and plays a pivotal role in organising FDPs, seminars and conferences. His academic expertise is impeccably testified by the extension of the college library which encompasses a diverse range of books/titles/journals/ and study material. His keenness in offering free transport facilities for the students to and from the college and facilitating in-campus hostels embedded with magnificent amenities separately for boys and girls speaks volumes of his successful direction. The campus is secured with CCTVs to ensure the safety of the students. He is married to Dr. Sophia Livingston who is the Principal of the Salem Christian College of Arts and Science. They are blessed with two children Edena Christy (7 years old) and Nicholas Hayden Jay (4 years old).
